radoi still busted

Spent some time on this Focus Group. Some of m'cyber chums were helping me out with a problem I'm having with the car radio.

In the course of which, sad to say, I was laughed at, punched repeatedly in the face and, finally, shot dead. I think they rather lost patience with my level of literacy.

Here's what happned:

Wow. It took me 10 minutes to read this post. Okay so lets get this strait.

1. You tried to ask your question in the middle of a car for sale add. And the link you gave is that post correct?
2. You are saying the your radio does not work. It has no power what so ever.
3. You did a search but you didn't get any help.
4. You checked the fuses in the fuse block for the hazard lights and the one for the radio and they are okay...
First of all. Do you have an after market head unit (radio) or a stock one? You should post a picture showing which head unit you have. This will help people in trying to figure out what the problem is. You need to remove the head unit its self. The head units also have a fuse in the back of them. It could be bad. If you have an aftermarket radio, it could also have a lose connection some where.

Okay so I take it that you took out the stereo and the fuse in the back was bad. You replaced it and now it works again... IF it is safe to assume that, then glad we could help.

Okay so you're saying that fuse 31 (for the radio I'm assuming by your first post because I am too lazy to walk a half mile to mine and check it) is bad.
If you replace that fuse then it should be good to go. If the fuse blows as soon as you put the new one in, then you have a short in the wiring some where, and you should take it to a shop and have them find it for you.
If you replace the fuse and nothing still happens, take the radio out of the dash and check the connections of the wires and the fuse in the back of radio. If they are fine, then its time to get a new radio.

No both fewzes are stellar i kno cos i put 33 in 31 and 31 in 33 and teh HazWar lites still work fiyne but the radio is still off even aft-er switchin it ON (no stayshuns work) (or the tape drive)! howdoyou mean "walk a half mile" cant you take ure focus? ah there is aslo a fews in the backof the radio aswellas teh gluv? is it possible - how? - to get the radio out? it's on the dash (brd) just now. TFS.

But: You need to go to a store (walmart) or autoparts, and get a stereo removal tool. Yes there is a fuse in the back of the radio that you should check.

guys im so sorry u wont believe this. my wife was cookin pizza pie tonite shed put the kids in bed but hadnt made any super it was 8 and still lite so went to the car to luke at the radoi as she sayd it would be a whiyle b4 super. i jist tryed to pull the radoi out bye the tape recordar and it was stick so i just push'd it in and teh radio kinda CLICK'd ... then ... i pushed the ON buton and it came on. it was the neus but i pressed 6 and galwat bay fm came on playin georGe jones - WAHEY. i cheked all stashuns and all wurk-fyne.
